This course provides a strong foundation for reading comprehension to prepare students for academic studies. It covers many reading strategies, including grammar, word analysis, phonics, spelling, and writing; as well as exposes students to new vocabulary. |

| Spelling |
This course provides an in-depth study of American English spelling. Students cover frequently misspelled words, and teaches them how to avoid misspelled words. Students also learn how to spot spelling errors and how to correct them. |

This is an important test for all students that are planning on attending a university. You will take actual practice tests. |
| U.S. History |
This course will be an overview of early American History and the United States Constitution. Students will leave the class with a general knowledge of U.S. History from the Age of Exploration to the Constitutional Period. |
