Introduction

ECI-ELP is an Intensive English Language Program designed to prepare non-native speakers of English with the necessary language skills to achieve academic and social success in American colleges and universities or in their respective professions.

ECI ELP Program consists of twelve (12) Integrated levels and four(4) Superior English levels for a total of sixteen(16) core instructional levels. The Integrated levels are Beginning 1-4; Intermediate 1-4; Advanced 1-4. Each Integrated level is four(4) weeks in duration and provides 100 instructional hours, based on twenty-five(25) instructional hours per week. The Superior English levels are: Superior English 1; Superior English 2; Superior English 3; and Superior English 4. Each Superior English level is eight (8) weeks long and provides 200 instructional hours based on twenty-five(25) instructional hours per week. In addition, ECI offers sixteen (16) Academic elective courses, which may be assigned in conjunction with the Integrated and Superior English levels to provide additional academic and language preparation.

CLASSES ARE SCHEDULED MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY FROM 9:30AM to 2:30PM AND FRIDAY FROM 9:30AM TO 12:30PM IN BOTH CAMPUSES.

• THIS SCHEDULE OFFERS 25 Academic hours per week (1 academic hour = 50 minutes)
• Each session is four (4) weeks long.

ECI Dallas Campus (Farmers Branch, TX)
Classes at this Campus are held from 9:30AM to 2:30PM Monday through Friday. If and when there is a need for two(2) shifts, then the Second Shift starts at 4:00pm and ends at 8:30 pm. TOTAL ACADEMIC HOURS: 25 per week All classes are always a combination of the Integrated courses reinforced with the academic courses.
