Oregon is probably best known to most Americans for the historic "Oregon Trail." The Oregon Trail was one of the connections to the West that was used to start settlements. This trail stretches 1900 miles from Missouri to Oregon. There is, however, more to Oregon than just the Oregon Trail. Oregon is one of the fastest growing states in the United States. ECI's Short Cultural Program in Oregon is located in Eugene. Eugene/Springfield is the second largest metropolitan area in Oregon. This area provides students with many opportunities to participate in the arts, shopping, dining, sports, and entertainment. Eugene is also very near the coast, which opens up more opportunities to visit unique attractions.
You will have the opportunity to visit amusement parks, go whitewater rafting, visit the capitol of Oregon, and also see Portland, Oregon, and enjoy a jet boat ride on the river. This program provides you with a lot of variety from small city charm and amusement parks to Portland and Salem.
