ECI Short Cultural Programs are designed for students, adults, business groups, or any other interested groups or individuals! The programs exist to offer students a short, enjoyable, all-inclusive experience in American culture and the English langugae. ECI seeks to provide students with quality instruction in the English language, a variety of fun and cultural activities, and a friendly, compatible host family. Academic Excellence ECI strongly believes in offering the students a quality education while learning about culture and the English language. Classes are highly structured and organized, and are designed to educate students on the structure of the English language and cultural issues in America. Students will also have first-hand experience of American culture and using the English language while enjoying the activities scheduled in the afternoon. Professional Faculty and Staff ECI seeks out professionals qualified in the area of ESL and in dealing with international students. A highly-trained staff of administrators works in the office and provides students with a 24-hour toll-free number in case of emergencies or other situations. Instructors possess a degree in ESL or a related field and are certified. All faculty/staff members are caring and ready to help a student with any need he or she may have. Cultural Awareness ECI wants students to be aware of the American culture. Students will have the opportunity to study cultural issues, taboos, nuances, and slang. In studying these areas of culture, students will have a better understanding of the language and the people. Students will also have the privilege of living with an American host family. This gives the student the opportunity to practice English and experience the culture first-hand.
